The Circulation, Filipiniana & Reserve Collection is located in the left-wing mezzanine area of the college library. It plays a vital role in ensuring that library materials are accessible to all patrons. By managing the lending process, tracking materials, and providing essential services, this section contributes to the smooth operation of the library and its ability to fulfill its mission.
The Serials and Thesis Section manages all serial publications, including journals, magazines, government publications, and other indefinitely issued publications. It also houses the library’s thesis and dissertation collections. This section’s primary goal is to provide comprehensive information to support the learning and research needs of the college community while ensuring equal access to all types of information. It is conveniently located on the left wing of the library.
The Dr. Jess Rola Information Center (JRIC), located on the right wing of the library, features three main areas: a Reading Area, a Computer and Multimedia Section, and a Makerspace. JRIC is dedicated to providing students with essential study environments, resources for computer-based research, and access to online library subscriptions.
The Acquisitions Section enhances the library’s collection by employing various strategies, including assessing user needs, careful item selection, smooth acquisition processes, and thoughtful resource removal. The primary objective is to align with the library’s Collection Development Policy, achieved through collaborations with various sections, unit libraries, academic departments, and stakeholders.
